Accessing this website

When you access this website, technically necessary data may be processed in server log files, including browser type, operating system, time of access and IP address. This processing is necessary to provide the website securely and reliably. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Using the app

The app can be used without a user account. We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs and do not create usage profiles.

To carry out and bill for a charging session, we process the necessary technical and transaction data. This may include the selected charging station, the start and end of the charging session, energy supplied, price, payment status, and a transaction reference. This processing is necessary to perform the contract under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Payments with Stripe

We use Stripe as our payment service provider. When you initiate a payment, Stripe processes the payment, transaction, and technical data needed for that payment. This may include the amount, currency, time, selected payment method, payment status, and device and network data. Stripe may also process data for fraud prevention, security, and compliance with legal obligations, and may involve other financial partners for these purposes.

We receive the information needed to confirm, allocate, and account for your payment. We do not receive your full card details. The legal basis for payment processing is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; information that must be retained by law is processed under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.

Depending on the processing activity, Stripe may act as a processor or as a controller in its own right. For more information, see Stripe’s Privacy Policy.

Payments with Apple Pay

If you choose Apple Pay as your payment method, Apple processes the information needed to provide and secure Apple Pay. Stripe, your card issuer, and the relevant card network may also be involved in processing the payment. For more information, see Apple’s security and privacy overview for Apple Pay.

No non-essential analytics or advertising services

The website and the app do not use non-essential analytics, advertising, or marketing services. We do not track you for analytics or advertising. This does not affect processing by Stripe, Apple, and participating financial partners in connection with a payment you initiate.

Contact by email

When you contact us by email, we process the information you provide in order to handle your request and any necessary follow-up questions. Depending on the subject of your request, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The information is deleted when it is no longer required for this purpose, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as it is needed for the relevant purpose. Transaction and invoice data is retained in accordance with applicable commercial and tax law. Data processed by Stripe, Apple, or participating financial partners under their own responsibility is retained in accordance with their respective retention policies.

International data transfers

When Stripe or Apple Pay is used, data may also be processed outside the European Union or European Economic Area. Information about the safeguards used for these transfers is available in the providers’ privacy information linked above.

Your rights

Subject to the applicable legal requirements, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection in relation to your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us using the address above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the website, the app, or legal requirements change. The version published on this page applies.
